  • Manager Mikel Arteta has hinted that the club will sign more players before summer transfer deadline day

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has disclosed that the club will remain vigilant for any potential opportunities in the transfer market throughout the remainder of the window. Despite already making substantial signings, Arteta hinted at the possibility of further acquisitions as well as player exits.

Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of Arsenal’s match against MLS All-Stars, Arteta acknowledged that there is still ample time in the transfer window for potential deals to materialize. The club has already been proactive this summer, spending approximately £215 million on key signings, including Kai Havertz from Chelsea, Jurrien Timber from Ajax, and England international Declan Rice from West Ham United, in a record-breaking British fee.

Despite these significant signings, Arteta remains open to the possibility of further enhancing the squad. He noted that there are high expectations for some of the current players, which could also influence the club’s transfer decisions. As the weeks progress, Arsenal will continue to assess the market and consider any potential opportunities that arise.

One player whose departure seems increasingly likely is Folarin Balogun. Arsenal has reportedly placed a £50 million price tag on the striker, and there is substantial interest from clubs like Inter, Atalanta, and LOSC Lille.

Regarding potential new signings, Arsenal has been linked with Gremio midfielder Bitello. Representatives from the club were present at a Gremio match against Bahia last week, indicating their interest in scouting the player.

The transfer window provides a fluid and dynamic environment for clubs, and Arsenal is actively engaged in both incoming and outgoing transfers. As the season approaches, fans and football enthusiasts eagerly await further developments in Arsenal’s transfer activity, anticipating how the club will further shape its squad in preparation for the upcoming campaign.
