Greek tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas has confirmed that he is dating Paula Badosa
The tennis stars are so much in love despite Badosa breaking up with her previous boyfriend
Tsitsipas also broke up with his London-based girlfriend
Greek tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas has confirmed that he is dating fellow tennis player Paula Badosa.
The tennis stars are so much in love despite Badosa breaking up with her previous boyfriend Juan Betancourt.
Tsitsipas says theirs is more than love; they are soul mates and with her, it is a huge achievement because it is not easy to get such. It’s very rare that you find your soul mate. If you ask Paula she will tell you exactly the same thing,” he told Bild in an interview.
WHY IS STEFANOS TSITSIPAS IN LOVE WITH PAULA BADOSA?
Tsitsipas said that he has met a lot of women in his life but none of them ever made him feel how Badosa makes him feel. Her beauty and interesting personality always draw him to her. Even better, their thinking is always on the same line.

“I’ll tell you one thing: I’ve met a lot of women in my life. And I can say that with a lot of confidence. I have never been so attracted to and found so much beauty and interest in a woman. I said that to Paula and she said the same thing and I was glad to hear that from her. Our minds are on the same wavelength, it’s such a spiritual connection,” he added.
So far, the Greek tennis player enjoys the super vibes with Badosa because he connects with her on a spiritual level and it is special. He never had that with anyone else which is why he is all glad about this spiritual connection.
He is grateful that travelling the world on the ATP Tour has made him realize the beauty of travel. Were it not for tennis, he would have never met Badosa and he now knows the good things in life are sometimes there with people only that they don’t see it.
WHO WAS STEFANOS TSITSIPAS DATING BEFORE PAULA BADOSA?
Earlier this year, Stefanos Tsitsipas was in a relationship with Theodora Petalas. They seemed and looked like the perfect couple. Petala earned praise from tennis fans for putting up with Tsitsipas’ anger fits which is depressing in any relationship.
Then, she was the woman behind the Tsitsipas’ glow. Petals was there for Tsitsipas in his lowest moment when he contemplated quitting tennis over defeat and injury. However, she persuaded him otherwise and this didn’t stop him from dating Badosa.
Petalas is a strategist at a marketing and branding agency in London, UK but is originally from Greece. Before relocating to London, she lived in the United States and attended New York University, where she pursued a bachelor’s degree in arts.
She also holds a master’s degree in science, focusing on project management and technology. Tsitsipas acknowledged in 2021 that he was dating Petalas after his first meeting in New York through family friends. He was smitten at first sight, but he didn’t tell her anything.
He would ask her out thereafter and it was a significant relationship by January 2023, although it was a long-distance relationship. Tsitsipas spent most of the year on tour but cherished every moment he had with Petalas.

On the flip side, Petalas didn’t frequently attend Tsitsipas’ matches because she lived in London. In retrospect, he once said that it was always to the extremes of compromise because she made time to attend some of his matches and it made him feel appreciated.
But what led to their breakup and subsequent Tsitsipas-Badosa dating? Nothing is in public knowledge. However, a hypothesis is the long-distance relationship was no longer tenable.
