Lewis Hamilton is optimistic that a Formula One-inspired movie he is producing featuring Hollywood actor Brad Pitt will shape the sport in future.

He says that this movie will be distinct and it’ll also project a futuristic approach into F1 in decades to come.  Sources close to the British driver say that this is a huge part of his legacy in a sport that has made him so famous across the world.

At 38, Hamilton clearly doesn’t have a lot of time in the circuit – at least not as a driver. Therefore, an F1-centred movie is one of the ways he is cementing his over-a-decade-long Formula 1 career.

IS BRAD PITT MAKING A F1 MOVIE?

Lewis Hamilton movie Brad Pitt is a reality.  The seven-time world champion is producing the movie under the direction of Joseph Kosinski. Pitt is the lead actor in this film and he will also shoot some of the action at the British Grand Prix in July.

Other actors set to appear in this film include Kerry Condon and Damson Idris. Kosinski and producer Jerry Bruckheimer have confirmed that Pitt will sit in a real F1 car driver’s seat. The movie’s production crew, according to Buxton built the smallest moveable 6K camera ever designed to take the viewer into the cockpit. Pitt will be steering a race car from here and it is a first of many.

Going by the official synopsis of the movie, Pitt comes out as a return driver out of retirement to compete against F1 big shots. However, Pitt won’t be competing against other drivers on the circuit, Variety reports. The race vehicle he will be driving will probably be a modified junior F2 or F3 vehicle.

The film will be quite invasive in terms of production, F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali adds. Sports Illustrated reports Domenicali opines that they need to manage expectations when Pitt is behind the wheel.

IS THERE GOING TO BE A LEWIS HAMILTON MOVIE?

As mentioned earlier Lewis Hamilton movie Brad Pitt is real. It is now in its production stage with its release set for 2024 or 2025.  Despite the lack of a title for the movie yet, F1 enthusiasts already have an idea of what will happen.

This movie, according to IMDB, follows a storyline of a Formula One driver (Pitt) who comes out of retirement to mentor and team up with a younger driver. They will race against veterans on the track.

Incidentally, the movie had a different title when it was first released: “Go Like Hell.” This was when renowned actor Tom Cruise became involved in the film but later left. Despite no longer being involved with the project, Cruise will drive in some scenes in this film.

Apple’s studio division acquired the film, which is being produced by Dawn Apollo Films, a new production company founded by Hamilton. This is even as Hamilton’s new documentary is being produced by Apple TV whose CEO, Tim Cook, is deeply interested in the Lewis Hamilton movie Brad Pitt film.

WHO IS BRAD PITT PLAYING IN F1 MOVIE?

The award-winning actor plays the role of a comeback veteran from retirement and teams up with a rookie driver. He mentors the young talent as they compete against seasoned F1 drivers.

With movie director and producer Bruckheimer; expect this new film to be fireworks. The duo worked their magic in top-rated blockbuster movie “Top Gun: Maverick,” which is up for Best Picture at the Academy Awards. Some of the movie shooting technologies deployed in ‘Top Gun’ will also feature in the Lewis Hamilton movie Brad Pitt Formula 1-inspired film.
