At 29 years, his Ricardo Pereira net worth is stunningly at $ 5 million. In 2018, Leicester signed him in at $31.3 million deal and a whopping salary of  $4.5 million per year. The right-back got this opportunity of greener pastures after leaving Victoria SC and Porto where he played before joining Leicester. From the information gathered, we can clearly see and state that Pereira has earned his wealth from his football career in form of contract payments, salary and bonuses.

He has gained so much experience and different clubs could be eyeing him. His market value also is on another level as he has so much to offer to those willing to have him.

Personal Life

Ricardo was born in Lisbon, Portugal and raised by his mother while little about his father is known. He has a brother who goes by the name Semedo.

While other children in his neighbourhood surrendered to peer pressure, he took advantage of the sporting options in the city as he was a huge football fan from a young age. He began playing at a tender age and this was his own method of self-education.

A scout from Futebol Benfica approached him and discussed with his parents the importance of joining the academy which they accepted and was enrolled at 11 years. He is one simple guy who does not like body art like Tattoos. From my investigation, he is still single and concentrating on his career.

Career

Ricardo Pereira began playing football with a local club known as C.F. Benfica and later joined Sporting CP Academy. After six years at the Academy, he moved to Associacao Naval where he only took one year joining Victoria S.C.

His contribution saw the team win a tournament for the first time in a long season. In 2013, he joined FC Porto and was lucky to be with his teammate Tiago Rodrigues who moved along with him. It’s at Porto that he was reconverted into a full-back by the team’s manager. That was the beginning of building his net worth.

He played at the UEFA Champions League when he appeared as a replacement for an injured teammate and received an honour as the French League ‘s Best full-back from the International Centre for Sports Studies. He left on a two years loan to club OGC Nice.

Pereira represented Portugal in different youth levels. He was part of the squad in the U21 that played at the UEFA European Championship 2015.

He was also in the Portugal squad playing for the country in the 2018 FIFA World Cup though they lost to Uruguay.

In 2018, he joined Leicester City on a $31.3 million deal. Here he played several matches but the first one was at the Premier League where he played against Manchester in a 2-0 win and another one against Everton but they lost.

He also scored consecutively and won over Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and Birmingham City in the FA Cup before he suffered an injury. In 2022, Leicester decided to extend his contract for four more years till 2026. His performance at the club has seen them qualify for the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa Conference League.

His net worth is a result of his hard work in the clubs he was engaged with. He is one upcoming young man who will surprise us with a rating among the World’s richest football players in a few years to come if he keeps the pace.
