Hulk Hogan began his professional wrestling career in 1977 after training for over a year with Matsuda. He won his first professional wrestling championship, the NWA Southeastern Heavyweight Championship in December 1979.
During his time with WWE, Hulk Hogan’s persona was a heroic all-American boom, which helped usher in the 1980s professional wrestling boom. The wrestling legend won the WWF Championship five times in his initial run.
