Early Life
Roberto Firmino biography has it that he was born in Maceio, Brazil, on October 2, 1991. Like many other Brazilian footballers, Roberto Firmino comes from a humble background.
Firmino began his football career at CRB and later joined Figueirense youth setup in 2008 at the age of 17. The young family played as a defensive midfielder during his time at Figueirense.
He made his professional debut on October 24, coming on as a substitute in a 1-2 home loss against Ponte Preta. During the 2009-10 season, Firmino contributed eight goals in 36 appearances.
Career in Europe
Roberto Firmino signed a five-year contract with Hoffenheim in December 2010. He formally arrived in Germany the following month and made his debut for Hoffenheim in February.
Firmino quickly developed at Hoffenheim and became one of the best players in the Bundesliga. During the 2013-14 season, the Brazilian attacker was named Bundesliga’s Breakthrough Player of the Season.
