Confederation of African Football (Caf) secretary-general Mouad Hajji attended the closure of the Caf safety and security officers training workshop at CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, over the weekend.

Hajji addressed the participants, praising their contribution in this event and stressing the importance of having a well-trained panel of Caf safety and security officers that will play a vital role in the upcoming Caf events and tournaments.

“Caf is determined to train people to the highest standards so that they have the knowledge and skills to be part of a pool of Caf safety and security officers for Caf tournaments and competitions,” Hajji said.

Under the theme of promoting “stadium safety and security”, a group of safety officers from various Caf member associations gathered for three days in Cairo to take part in the workshop.

Caf deputy secretary-general Anthony Baffoe addressed the participants at the conclusion of the event, highlighting the great importance of safety and security as a major and crucial part of football on the African continent.

During the stadium, tour participants presented information on the accreditation areas, use of Supplementary Access Devices (SAD’s) and the match-day operations.
