Pepe Reina is another legendary goalkeeper in the Premier League era. He is also one of the most popular players in the history of Anfield.
Between 2005 and 2014, he made 285 appearances for Liverpool, during which time he had 134 clean sheets and two from Astonvilla, where he played in 2020.
5. Nigel Martyn- 137
Nigel Martyn is the first person from England to appear on the list. He is also one of the few goalkeepers in English football history to make over 200 appearances for two different clubs.
The English goalkeeper had his most successful tenure with Leeds United when he made 207 appearances and had 82 clean sheets.
Martyn finished his career in the Premier League with Everton in 2006, having played 86 games for the Toffees during his time with the club.
David Seaman is revered throughout Arsenal’s history and is one of the few goalkeepers to finish his career with a clean sheet ratio of more than 40 per cent.
During the 1990s, he was one of the most reliable goalkeepers in the league while playing for Arsenal.
He made a total of 403 appearances for the club. Prior to joining Manchester City, Seaman racked up 138 clean sheets while playing for the Gunners.
His final season at Manchester City saw him finish with 19 total appearances, three of which resulted in clean sheets.
3. Mark Schwarzer- 151
The next illustrious Australian footballer to make a name for himself in English football was Mark Schwarzer, whose name comes up next on this list.
The Australian goalkeeper played for four different clubs throughout his stint in the Premier League, amassing a total of 514 matches.
His career with Middlesbrough, during which he made 366 appearances and had 92 clean sheets, is the primary reason for his widespread recognition.

The English goalkeeper had a career spanning 18 years in the Premier League and made a total of 572 appearances throughout that time.

He had a significant clean sheet percentage of 45.60 in the Premier League, where he played, keeping 202 clean sheets.
After spending more than 15 years in the Premier League, Cech called it quits on his football career in 2019.
