Marian Vadja life story is pretty interesting having ranked in the top 40 in singles play during his tennis career. He entered the annals of tennis history as a result of his phenomenally successful coaching association with Novak Djokovic.
Vadja is a former player who competed professionally on the ATP tour. Beginning 2006, he served as Djokovic’s coach. The two worked together up until 2017, when they decided to go their own ways. They got back together in 2018, but severed their connections again in March of 2022.
Vajda was recognized as the ATP Coach of the Year in 2018. This was in addition to winning the title for best coach from the Olympic Committee of Serbia in 2010 and 2011.

He accumulated this wealth from his tennis playing days and as a coach which earned him a fortune. Every time Djokovic won, he got a percentage of his prize money. They won 77 titles together.
With 17 Grand Slam victories, Vadja and Djokovic make history as the most successful coaching duo in tennis. Besides being Djokovic’s coach, he is also a trusted friend and confidant.
When he wasn’t with Djokovic, you could see the Serbian had on-court and off-court difficulties. They had a great chemistry and became one of tennis’ all-time great doubles teams. His tenure with Djokovic makes him one of the richest tennis coaches all time.

After splitting with Vadja, Djokovic picked Ivanisevic as his next coach. It is through him that he won Wimbledon 2022.
Speaking after the French Open in 2021, Vajda said he is always impressed by the attitude Djokovic gave his matches. He said that Djokovic always acts in a businesslike manner.
He places an unnecessary amount of stress on himself throughout training and remained committed to vastly bettering himself in every facet of his game.
Further, the star coach said he thinks it’s great that Djokovic constantly strives to improve himself. He recalled his days back as a player statin when he was a player, he couldn’t make improvements like Djokovic did.
At a certain point, he reached his limit and retired but it is a different case for Djokovic. The Serbian believes he has room for growth in all aspects of his game, including his serve, backhand, all-around play, and volleys.

Sometime in 2021, the 21-time Grand Slam champion praised Vadja for his unrelenting spirit. He said that throughout his whole career, Vadja remained by his side; through all of the highs and lows.
He stated that he was grateful for his friendship and effort over the past 15 years. They did fantastic things together. Come 2022, Djokovic considers Vadja as family.
Vadja told Tennis Majors that Djokovic wanted to focus on Grand Slam tournaments. Therefore; the Serbian wanted a leaner team which is why he left.
WHO IS MARIAN VAJDA COACHING NOW?
Currently, Vajda serves as Alex Molcan’s head coach. Molcan is a Slovak tennis player who competes on ATP Tour. On May 23, 2022, he reached his career-high ATP singles ranking of World No. 38.
He held this position ever since. Additionally, on June 14, 2021, he reached a career-high ATP doubles ranking of No. 268, which he now holds. He is now ranked first in singles play for Slovakia in tennis.
