Tennis star Naomi Osaka was born in Osaka, Japan, on October 16, 1997. Her parents are Leonard Maxime Francio and Tamaki Osaka.
Her father is from Haiti while her mother is Japanese, but Naomi took her Mothers name Osaka, which is a norm for Japanese girls
Osaka’s father was inspired by how Serena and Venus’s father shaped her daughters into great Tennis players.
They moved to Long Island, where she and her sister began playing tennis. In 2006, they relocated to Florida, where the girls spent the day practising tennis with their dad.
They attended public school in New York before switching to homeschooling.
Osaka and her sister Marie grew close on the court, but the desire to make her sister the best in the sport motivated Osaka year after year.
According to the Japanese Tennis star, Marie was doing fine in the sport, but her career was slowed by injuries.

Osaka has skipped youth tournaments in favour of a pro-satellite tour. She turned professional in 2013. Naomi became famous when she was named by the WTA as the “Newcomer of the Year” in 2016.
In 2018, she won her maiden WTA Tour victory at Indian Wells. In the same year, she went ahead to win the US Open in September, becoming the first Japanese Tennis player to do so.
In January 2019, she won the Australian Open. Since her maiden Grand Slam win in 2001, Osaka has become the first Tennis player to capture the mentioned significant titles. The victory propelled Osaka to the top of the global rankings.
Osaka struggled on the court for most of 2019 owing to knee issues. Wimbledon, in particular, was a letdown because she could not compete on the first day.
She later revealed that he was again attempting to enjoy the game, tweeting on July 31 that she was re-learning that joyful sensation and was thrilled about his future.
Osaka claimed a second Australian Open championship to her Grand Slam cabinet in February 2021 after withdrawing from the French Open due to mental health issues.
Osaka chose not to compete at Wimbledon in 2021. However, she did compete in the US Open later that same year, where she was defeated in the third round.
She then had a four-month break before returning to the sport in early 2022. Osaka was eliminated in the third round of the Australian Open that year. She also recently withdrew from the 2022 Wimbledon event because of injuries.

Osaka called it quits with her coach Sasha Bajin, who guided her to her two Grand Slam wins following the 2019 Australian Open.
The cause for the separation was not made public. Jermaine Jenkins was hired as her next coach, but by 2020, she had begun training with Wim Fissette, with whom she parted ways last week.
