Pique is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for La Liga club Barcelona as a centre-back. He is widely regarded as one of the best defenders of his generation.
Piqué joined the Manchester United academy in 2004 after being one of the most promising students at La Masia.
Under Pep Guardiola’s leadership, he returned to Barcelona in 2008 and helped the club win trebles in 2008–09 and 2014–15.
He is one of only four players to have won the UEFA Champions League with different teams two years in a row, Marcel Desailly, Paulo Sousa, and Samuel Eto’o.
Piqué has also played 102 times for Spain, making his debut on February 11, 2009. He was a key member of the Spain teams that won the 2010 FIFA World Cup and the 2012 UEFA Euro.

Dalglish was named the greatest striker in postwar British football by FourFourTwo magazine in 2009, and he has been inducted into both the Scottish and English Football Halls of Fame.
