Nigerian striker Onyekuru swoops Everton for Monaco

Henry Onyekuru swoops Everton for AS Monaco - Sports Leo

Nigerian striker Henry Onyekuru is swapping the sometimes damp and dreary weather of Liverpool in England for the sunshine of the French Riviera.

That is the news coming from Everton who have confirmed that the player has joined Monaco. No fee has been mentioned.

The 22-year-old joined Everton in 2017 after a spell with Belgian side KAS Eupen but his problems have been off the field where he has been unable to obtain a work permit to play in the English Premier League.

That meant he had to leave England and has been on loan for two years with Anderlecht and then Turkish club Galatasaray, where he scored 14 goals in 31 League games to help them to the title.

Onyekuru has played for Nigeria 11 time and scored one goal.
