Diego Simeone men, Atletico Madrid were crowned Laliga Champions last season After a 2020/21 season with twists and turns along every corner came to an end. They were closely followed by rivals Real in second, Barcelona in third, with Sevilla completing the Champions League spot.
This seasons Laliga fixtures are out and for the first time in more than twenty years the league will start without Argentinian Lionel Messi who left Barcelona on a free transfer to Join PSG. Laliga has already laid out its plans for the 2021/22 campaign, which got underway last weekend with both Real Madrid and Barcelona getting their wins from their first matches which were played on the weekend of 14-15 August and run until 21-22 May 2022.
The first ‘Clasico’ of the season will be held at the Camp Nou on the weekend of 24 October. The return fixture at the Santiago Bernabeu will take place on the weekend of 22 March 2022.
