Suzanne Brigit Bird is an Israeli- American is a professional basketball from the Seattle Storm of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA).

She was born on 16th October 1980 in Syosset, New York, in the United States. Her parents are Herschel Bird and Nancy Bird. She has one sibling. Her elder sister is called Jen.

In the 2002 WBA draft, Bird was drafted by the Storm as the first overall and she also holds the record for most assists in the history of the league.

She held a front-office position for the NBA‘s Denver Nuggets as their Basketball Operations Associate. She has also played for three teams in Russia.

Sue pursued her education in Christ the King High School and Syosset High School. She later attended her University studies at the University of Connecticut between 1998 and 2002.

Sue Bird was interested in sports at a tender age and was partly influenced by her athletic older sister.

Apart from playing basketball, she also played soccer, tennis and ran track. In the sixth grade, she became a very good player and started playing AAU basketball.
