For a long time, John Cena topped the list of the most loved wrestlers in the world, but those days are now gone. Even though the owner of the popular “You Can’t See Me” gesture is no longer a full-time wrestler, we’ve had new faces wow fans every week.

From Roman Reigns to Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes, there’s a new generation of stars who have stepped in and etched their names in the history books and winning the hearts of many fans.

In this article, we take a look at the most loved wrestlers in the world right now.

1. Roman Reigns

When Roman Reigns started his career in WWE, he was introduced to the fans as a heel. However, the promotion soon started making storylines that portray him as a ‘good person’, something which led to him becoming a favorite among fans.

As of 2024, Reigns is not only one of the best fighters in the ring but also one of the most loved wrestlers. The American is the top guy at WWE and has won several titles over the years. His title reign of 1,316 days as undisputed WWE Universal Champion was the longest championship reign since 1988 and the fourth-longest world title reign in the history of WWE.

Reigns is the leader of The Bloodline stable, which is dominated by members of the Anoa’i family.

2. Seth Rollins

Whenever Seth Rollins’ theme songs plays, the crowd usually goes crazy waiting for him to show up. This shows only one thing, he is one of the most loved wrestlers.

Similar to Reigns, Seth Rollins was also introduced to WWE fans as a heel but later became a fan-favourite. The 37-year-old had had a successful career, winning the WWE Championship twice, Universal Championship twice and the World Heavyweight Championship once. But it doesn’t end there for him. Rollins has also won the Money in the Bank match (2014), Royal Rumble (2019) and the United States Championship, among other titles.

Seth Rollins is married to fellow professional wrestler Rebecca Quin, better known as Becky Lynch.

3. LA Knight

If there’s someone currently in a position to be WWE’s next big star is LA Knight. He has been getting plenty of attention recently and is really thriving as a babyface.

Since 2023, he has been involved in various interesting storylines and has recorded victories against top stars such as Universal Champion Finn Balor and two-time WWE Champion The Miz. The 41-year-old is yet to win a championship in WWE but you can feel he is very close to becoming a champion. He is one of the most loved wrestlers in Vince McMahon’s promotion.

Besides WWE, LA Knight has worked with various promotions over the years, including National Wrestling Alliance and Impact Wrestling.

4. Sami Zayn

Well, you no list of the most loved wrestlers in the world right now would be complete without Sami Zayn. With his impressive performance in the ring and character work, he has managed to win the hearts of thousands of WWE fans. In fact, some fans argue that he has been the MVP McMahon’s promotion for the last one year.

Zayn became a superstar during his storyline with The Bloodline. While he later failed to beat Roman Reigns, he did record an unforgettable victory over The Usos.

Zayn has been signed to WWE since 2013 and is the current WWE Intercontinental Champion in his fourth reign. His real name is Rami Sebei.

5. Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes comes from a family with roots in wrestling and it wasn’t difficult for him to find his feet in the ever competitive industry. While he was not a fan-favourite at AEW, he is one of the most loved wrestlers at WWE.

Rhodes has been in great form since returning to WWE and fans supported him during his feud against Roman Reigns. Even though he lost at WrestleMania 39, the American Nightmare saw his patience eventually pay off and is the current Undisputed WWE Champion, holding both the WWE Championship and the WWE Universal Championship
