Kevin De Bruyne is a family man. He has been with his wife Michèle Lacroix since 2014 but it was not until the summer of 2017 when they exchanged vows. The couple met through the social media platform X, formerly Twitter, as revealed by De Bruyne in a past interview.
The Manchester City star, who was at the time playing for Werder Bremen, was convinced by his friend to message Michèle. Since he was shy, his friend wrote the message for him and that’s how things started between them.
“It started with a tweet. I only had a few thousand followers at the time, because I was still on loan at Werder Bremen. So I tweeted something about a match or whatever, and this pretty girl favorited it. I was single at the time, and my friend noticed it. So he said, ‘She looks like a nice girl, no? You should send her a message.” De Bruyne told The Players’ Tribune.
Fast forward to 2024, De Bruyne and Michèle are not only happily married but also blessed with three children.
