Who were Premier League’s fastest players of the 2023/24 season? All Premier League teams played their final league matches of the season on Sunday, May 19. Manchester City made history by becoming the first club to win the Premier League title four times in a row, which has led to them being given plenty of attention in the media this week.

In this article, we have decided to talk about something different – the fastest players of the 2023/24 season. We’ve included the name of the players, teams they play for and the top speed they clocked. Without further ado, let’s get started with the list which was revealed by Squawka.

Dominik Szoboszlai – 36.76 km/h

Liverpool’s summer signing Dominic Szoboszlai has proven to be a top player. From his fantastic passing to stunning long range shots and incredible speed, Szoboszlai got the qualities you need in a midfielder. Talking of speed, he is one of the fastest players in the Premier League and recorded his top speed of 36.76 km/h last year when Liverpool played Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Even though Szoboszlai seemed to have lost his momentum as the season progressed, he is one of the players Liverpool are not going to release anytime soon.

Jakub Moder – 36.84 km/h

Jakub Moder hasn’t been a regular for Brighton this season. In fact, he has only played 17 games throughout the campaign. However, that hasn’t stopped him from showing the football world his incredible speed.

Having recorded a top speed of 36.84 km/h, Moder is the fastest midfielder in the Premier League right now. What makes his speed more astonishing is the fact that he recorded it after spending close to two years outside due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Pedro Neto – 36.86 km/h

Pedro Neto is arguably the best player in Wolves’ squad at the moment. He has showcased his ability on the pitch several times. Apart from being a lethal goalscorer, Neto is also a speedster who clocked 36.84 this season in a match against Luton Town.

For someone like Neto who is quick and also dangerous in front of goal, you expect top clubs to show interest in him. The Portuguese forward is one of the players who could be on the move this summer transfer window.

Anthony Elanga – 36.91 km/h

After struggling for playing time at Manchester United, Anthony Elanga opted to sign with Nottingham Forest. Even though he is rarely talked about, the youngster deserves his flowers for scoring five goals and recording nine assists.

Elanga has tormented defenders with his pace throughout the campaign and recorded an astonishing top speed of 36.91 km/h in one of the matches. He is one of the fastest players in the Premier League and Nottingham will be relying on him again next season.

2. Chiedozie Ogbene – 36.93 km/h

Luton Town did all they could to avoid relegation in their first season in the English Premier League since 1992. Unfortunately, they ended the campaign in the bottom three and will have to fight their way back into England’s top division in the competitive Championship.

While not so many players under Rob Edwards, Chiedozie Ogbene left many stunned with when he recorded top speed of 36.93 km/h. The Nigerian-born Irish winger is one of the fastest players in the concluded 2023-24 season. He previously spoke about how he loved watching Usain Bolt, who is the fastest runner ever, when growing up.

1. Micky Van de Ven – 37.38 km/h

Once again Tottenham Hotspur went a whole season without winning any trophy. One of their highlights this campaign was Micky Van de Ven who has proven to be a quality defender. His solid defending helped Spurs win several matches and in one of the games, he clocked a speed of 37.38 km/h, which makes him the fastest player in the Premier League during the 2023-24 season.

Van de Ven is the only player on this list of the fastest players to break the 37 km/h mark. The Dutchman’s recovery speed and defending makes him a key player for Spurs.
