Growing up, Emma Raducanu boyfriend escapades were not allowed in her house because it would be a distraction.
Her parents Ion Raducanu and Renee Zhai made it clear at the onset that she was not allowed to date whatsoever. They wanted the best for her and having a boy with her would be a big distraction which they couldn’t allow.
Now 21 – soon turning 22 in November – she understands why her parents never let her get into a relationship and also spent very few hours with friends.
Who is Emma Raducanu Boyfriend?
Carlo Agostinelli is rumoured to be Raducanu’s boyfriend after suggestive photos of them in 2023 when she was recovering from multiple surgeries.
However, she did not always enjoy this freedom. Her parents were strict and believed that hard work and fruitful endeavours would prepare their daughter for a successful life.

After giving it some thought, Raducanu is thankful that her parents were harsh with her since she now sees how it benefited her in her life and tennis career.
She confessed that it was her Romanian-born father who pushed her into tennis and she did not have any choice in this except training.
Although she won the 2021 US Open on her debut to Grand Slam tournaments; Raducanu attributes this success to the pressure her parents gave her.
Describing her parents as ‘pushy’ she now sees the bigger picture that she couldn’t see as a young teen.
“My parents were very much against that (boyfriends) as it interfered with training…They are so pushy. At the start my dad forced me into tennis. I didn’t like it, but then as I got older and tennis became more of a priority I was pushing myself,” she told The Times.
Although any teenager being denied time with her peers views it all as being mean, it has made her confident and taught her the value of being alone.
She is now able to deal with stressful situations much better.
“When I was younger I wasn’t even allowed to hang out with my girlfriends. A lot of the time I was very resentful. But it made me very confident and comfortable in my own company, which is also a big strength.”
At only 21 years old, Raducanu has amassed one of the largest sponsorship portfolios in recent years despite her age. She rose to prominence in the marketing industry fast, earning around $15 million in sponsorship deals alone in 2023 despite her hiatus.

Carlos Agostinelli is a 23-year-old international relations graduate from Stanford University. But he is more famous for the fact that he is the son of London-based businessman Robert Agostinelli.
He is the force behind talks about Emma Raducanu boyfriend. The two spent a lot of time together post-surgery in 2023. The Brit underwent an ankle surgery and wrists surgery which kept her away from the WTA Tour in 2023. She returned in 2024.
Raducanu and Agostinelli posted pictures of themselves in Mexico City having a good time. She was also seen visiting his $2.5 million apartment in the Kensington neighbourhood located in West London. They drove up to Agostinelli’s residence in a limousine. He spends most of his time here whenever he is not in Paris
She emerged from the vehicle holding a beautiful and huge bundle of roses. The US Open champion later came out of the residence donned in Agostinelli’s suit jacket a few hours later and left in another limousine.
Heloise, Agostinelli’s model sister, shared a photo of Raducanu and her dining together at a posh restaurant in Paris a few days before.
Carlos’ mother Mathilde Favier reacted to this photo with a love emoji and this sent many signals to people speculating something was up between the two.
