Roberto De Zerbi will be leaving Brighton, and although this is not shocking news, the announcement’s timing was unexpected.

However, when De Zerbi started publicly criticizing the club’s goals and economic plan in January forward, the situation behind the scenes deteriorated. Maybe there would have to be a breakup sooner rather than later.

There will be teams blessed to have the former Shakhtar Donetsk manager in their dugout ahead of the upcoming season, but he says he wants to take a break before making his next move.

We’ve examined a few potential clubs for De Zerbi in the future as he gets ready for the next stage of his coaching career.

Bayern Munich

In recent months, Bayern Munich’s management has made some really terrible attempts that we have rarely witnessed. In brief, they said that Thomas Tuchel would go at the conclusion of the campaign, but Tuchel was later rejected by Xabi Alonso, Julian Nagelsmann, and even Ralf Rangnick.

The club rejected the German coach’s request for a new deal, therefore he will still be departing when his current one ends. How disorganized.

Sporting director Max Eberl is rumored to be a huge fan of De Zerbi, but since the announcement of the Italian’s impending departure, different claims have surfaced. The Times reports that conversations have already taken place, although Sky Sports Germany maintains that they won’t.

Juventus

Juventus is surprisingly searching for a new manager after this week’s Coppa Italia final ended in very tumultuous scenes.

During their 1-0 victory over Atalanta, Max Allegri was sent off for yanking off his jacket and arguing with the fourth official. After the game, he allegedly angrily approached a journalist.

De Zerbi, who was linked to the Old Lady only last month, would be a welcome change of pace for a team that has struggled in recent years.

Following his leadership of the Seagulls to their greatest-ever Premier League finish and their progression to the Uefa Europa League knockout stages, the Italian has been linked to other prestigious managerial positions.

But as the months went by, the 44-year-old was ignored or passed over for a couple of these openings, and it appeared as though he may play at least one more season on England’s south coast.

Barcelona

Barcelona and Roberto De Zerbi appeared like a good fit because of his appealing, possession-based style of play.

Xavi Hernandez reversed his intention to step down as manager at the conclusion of the season, casting doubt on his chances of rolling up to Catalunya.

In a stunning turn of events, Xavi may be leaving after all, given the remarks he made last week regarding Barcelona’s financial status. It is said that Deco, the sports director, and Joan Laporta, the club president, took it poorly.

Although the former midfield player claims that he still has a good connection with the Barça leadership, it is unclear if he will be let go. De Zerbi is going to be among the managers being scouted by the Spanish giants.

AC Milan

Despite never playing for AC Milan, Roberto De Zerbi has an emotional attachment to the team because he attended their youth program during his playing career.

He stated that he “would and will return, hopefully in the future” to Italy during his Brighton debut season, which may pave the way for him to acquire the major position at the soon-to-be-demolished San Siro.

Despite finishing second in Serie A, Stefano Pioli is expected to leave the role at the end of the current campaign. De Zerbi could be the best person to lead the Rossoneri to more success.

He has, however, previously expressed disapproval of the team, particularly during their attempt to create the independent European Super League.

Manchester United

Given the likelihood of Erik ten Hag’s departure from Old Trafford following the upcoming season, Sir Jim Ratcliffe would be well advised to hire De Zerbi as his first manager.

When it comes to rebuilding, Manchester United is at the beginning. The majority of the team has to be replaced, and a youthful manager full of drive and new ideas could be ideal.

An important perk is that the Red Devils won’t have to pay a release clause, which was reportedly rather large.
