Who Won in Boston Celtics Vs Miami Heat Playoff?

The Boston Celtics wasted no time asserting their dominance in the Eastern Conference playoffs, dismantling a Jimmy Butler-less Miami Heat team 114-94 in their opening-round matchup on Sunday.

Jayson Tatum put on a masterful performance, recording his first career playoff triple-double with 23 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists.

The Celtics, hungry to prove themselves after a stellar regular season, set the tone early. Their aggressive defence stifled the Heat’s offence, forcing turnovers and contested shots.

Miami, missing the scoring and leadership of their star player Jimmy Butler (out with a knee injury), struggled for victory throughout the game.

Tatum, capitalizing on the shorthanded Heat, spearheaded Celtic’s attack. He knocked down key three-pointers, found open teammates for easy baskets, and controlled the game’s tempo all through.

Derrick White provided valuable support with 20 points and 4 assists, while the Celtics received scoring contributions from six players in double figures.

The Heat, despite a valiant late run in the fourth quarter, couldn’t overcome the early deficit. Kyle Lowry led the Heat battalion with 23 points, but the rest of the team struggled offensively.

The Celtics’ suffocating defence held Bam Adebayo, Miami’s All-Star centre, to just 12 points on an inefficient shooting night.

Even with a heroic comeback in the fourth quarter, the Heat couldn’t erase the early deficit. Kyle Lowry led the squad with 23 points, but the other players had trouble scoring.

Heat’s All-Star centre Bam Adebayo was limited to just 12 points on a poor shooting night by the smothering defence of the Celtics.

Speaking after the match, Tatum said it was a tough game for both teams.

“It’s supposed to be tough. There’s no guaranteed wins regardless of time and score. But we came out with the right mentality and played Celtics basketball,” he said.

It was a promising start for the Boston Celtics in reimagining an end to their 16-year NBA championship drought. They showed strong defensive effort and determination throughout the game.

Unlike in the first game – without Butler – Miami Heat won 111 – 101 over the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night. Heat’s victory over the Celtics tied the Eastern Conference series 1-1 in the opening round of the playoffs.

Butler made fun of the Celtics on Instagram after the game, by photoshopping his face over Jaylen Brown’s in a graphic including a statement from the previous campaign.

The Miami Heat star player got a ‘new voice’ a way to spew trash despite being unable to play due to a recovering injury.

In the absence of Josh Richardson, Terry Rozier, and Butler, the eighth-seeded Heat overcame their 114-94 first-round loss to the top-seeded Celtics.

According to Elias Sports Bureau, this is the fifth time in a postseason series that they have lost a game by at least 20 points and then won the next game by 10 points under Erik Spoelstra.

They are now tying the record for the most wins by a head coach in NBA history.
