Chelsea’s winger Cole Palmer is a 21-year-old and secured his team’s win against Manchester United with a hat-trick. He has had an impressive this season which is earning him points as one of the best wingers for Chelsea.

This comes barely days after Chelsea suggested an increment in his weekly salary for having an impressive season. His future at the club is secured as his potential will contribute to success in the Premier League this season.

The 21-year-old joined Chelsea from Manchester City for an initial 40 million pounds in September last year, and since then, he has had an impressive debut season at Stamford Bridge, that will see him earn an increment in his weekly earnings.

In his first 35 games for Chelsea, he scored 16 goals and 12 assists across all competitions and was rewarded with a senior England debut in November last year. He received call-ups to the senior team as a substitute on a few occasions and the next season marked his official men’s first-team debut in the Carabao Cup against Burnley. A year later, he netted his first senior goal in the same competition against Wycombe Wanderers as his performance continued to impress, suggesting a bright future in the football world.

In 2023, he signed with Chelsea, a move that showcased the high regard clubs have for his talent and potential. He has represented England at various youth levels including the under-17 team at the 2019 UEFA European under-17 Championship.

His impressive performance culminated in a place in the England squad that triumphed at the 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship and in late 2023, he received a call-up to the senior England national team.

With his recent transfer to Chelsea and his senior call to the England squad, it is evident that the 21-year-old has already secured his future in the football world as it appears incredibly bright.

Palmers move to Chelsea and salary increment

Palmer had a breakthrough point when he signed with English Premier League club Chelsea in 2023, on a seven-year contract when he transferred from Manchester City. The deal also includes an option for an additional year, potentially extending his stay at the club to eight years in total.

The transfer price for Palmer was worth $50.6 million initially, with an additional $3.16 million in add-ons, depending on performance. He has been one of the most consistent players at Chelsea with 16 goals and 12 assists in all competitions, becoming a vital part of their attack.

He can play in several positions like an attacking midfielder or a winger, offering tactical flexibility.  The winger has earned an increase in his weekly salary of $110,399 due to his impressive debut season at Stamford Bridge. Initially, he signed a seven-year contract with the option of a further 12 months.

Palmer’s contribution to Chelsea Vs Manchester United win

Palmer was the star of the match last night in a challenge between Chelsea and Manchester United. He scored all three of Chelsea’s goals after they went down 2-0 to Man United. The 21-year-old was composed and had no pressure during the match.
