Which are the most valuable MLS clubs in 2024? Lionel Messi’s arrival in the Major League Soccer (MLS) had a massive impact, especially to Inter Miami. In his first season in the league, the Argentine propelled Inter Miami to its maiden victory winning the inaugural Leagues Cup.
Outside the pitch, Messi’s arrival revolutionized Inter Miami’s business ventures, with the club recording $118 million, which doubles the $57 million made in 2022. According to Forbes, Los Angeles tops the list of the most valuable MLS clubs in 2024. It has retained the top spot, thanks to a notable operating profit of $9 million driven by a league-leading revenue of $140 million. Prior to last season, the club had secured a whopping $100 million naming rights deal with BMO. Los Angeles FC also gets additional income from non-MLS ventures such as hosting concerts.
2. Inter Miami CF – $1.03 Billion
As already stated at the start of this article, Lionel Messi’s arrival at Inter Miami greatly increased the club’s revenue. In 2023, Inter Miami’s revenue increased to $118 million and the club’s stature and appreciation have really gone high. The key owners are Jorge Mas, Jose Mas and David Beckham.
3. La Galaxy – $950 Million
La Galaxy are third on the list of the most valuable MLS clubs in 2024. Its revenue in 2023 was $93 million and operating income $3 million. The club, which is a member of the Western Conference, began competing in the MLS in 1996. It is owned by Anschutz Entertainment Group, who are also the owners of the Los Angeles Kings and have an interest in the Los Angeles Lakers.

4. Atlanta United – $900 Million
Atlanta United was founded in 2014 but has only made its name on the pitch but also financially. They are among the most valuable MLS clubs in 2024 with a valuation of $900 million. Whereas its revenue in 2023 was $95 million, its operating income was $9 million.
5. New York City FC – $850 Million
Shortened as NYCFC, New York City FC representing the bustling metropolis of New York. It was founded ten years ago but has made huge strides in valuation and in the league. NYCFC competes in the MLS as a member of the Eastern Conference and is currently valued at $850 million. The club received $70 million in revenue last year.
New York City FC is co-owned by City Football Group, who are the parent company of English Premier League club and last season’s treble winners Manchester City.
6. Seattle Sounders FC – $785 Million
Seattle Sounders FC was founded in November 2007 and began playing in the MLS in 2009 as an expansion team. It is one of the clubs in the league with the most passionate fans and has consistently performed better over the years. The Seattle Founders is currently valued at $785 million and its majority owner is American businessman Adrian Hanauer.
7. D.C. United – $775 Million
Next on the list of the most valuable MLS clubs in 2024 is D.C. United, which competes in the Eastern Conference. It is among the most successful clubs in the top tier of American soccer, which explains its high value. Forbes estimates the club’s value to be a whopping $775 million as of 2024.

8. Austin FC – $750 Million
Austin FC began playing in 2021 and its value barely three years after entering the MLS is a testament of the league’s growing appeal. Austin FC is worth $750 million and received a revenue of $87 million last year.
9. Toronto FC – 725 Million
Toronto FC is a Canadian soccer team based in Toronto. It plays in the MLS as a member of the Eastern Conference and holds its home matches at the popular BMO Field. In 2017, they won the MLS Cup, Supporters’ Shield and Canadian Championship, and their success on the field has been reflected by their financial growth over the years. Toronto FC is currently valued at $725 million.
10. Charlotte FC – $690 Million

Charlotte FC is a new entry and their valuation of $690 million sets a strong foundation for future growth. The club’s revenue in 2023 alone was $80 million.
