We’ve look at the players that Man United could release in order to cut wages and raise funds for the summer.

Antony

Man United spent Ajax a colossal amount for the winger and received very little in return. It was the Brazilian’s sixth Premier League goal in only two seasons when he scored against Burnley on the weekend.

Additionally, Antony is not worth the trouble due to his negative attitude and charges of sexual assault. It would be a significant improvement if Michael Olise could take his position.

Marcus Rashford

From scoring 30 goals in the previous season to just eight this one, Marcus Rashford‘s performance has deteriorated dramatically. From this time last year, his performances have been nothing like they were.

Being bound by a large contract for an extended period of time is the main obstacle to selling the 26-year-old. Is there a team out there prepared to pay the required amount of money to move him out of Old Trafford?

It seems quite improbable given that PSG is supposedly losing interest in the wide forward. Whether Man United supporters like it or not, he is here to stay—at least for the foreseeable future.

Casemiro

Man United believed that their midfield problems had been resolved when they paid £70 million to Real Madrid for Casemiro. Even though he was sent off more times in a single season than he was in his whole Real career, he had a successful first year.

But as this season has shown, the 32-year-old has a lot of kilometers on her record. It wouldn’t be simple to find a team to acquire him, but it would still be worthwhile.

His first two seasons at United have been like night and day, respectively. Casemiro was perhaps the team’s greatest player the previous season, but his play has drastically declined this year.

Even though he is 32 years old and starting to age, United could still be able to obtain something for him because he has two years left on his original contract. Get peanuts for the £60 million arrival next summer, or sell now.

Harry Maguire

Man United supporters have been demanding for years that Harry Maguire be exiled to a virtual world where he would never be seen again. The defender never was, and never will be, worth the £75 million they paid Leicester City for him.

The England international, however, has overcome several obstacles to demonstrate that he possesses the toughness and drive necessary to be a center-back in the Premier League—qualities that Man United’s whole team lacks.

In addition to being one of the few defenders who can sustain their fitness over time, Maguire ought to play out the remaining years on his contract, which has an option to be extended by one year and expires in 2025.

Anthony Martial

With a huge money move behind him, Anthony Martial is another highly-rated talent who has fallen short of expectations.

The writing is on the wall. It feels fitting that, when his contract ends this summer, reports indicate he will be let go.

Raphael Varane

Raphael Varane, a fellow countryman of Martial, will also have his contract expire in June unless Man United exercises the option to extend it by another year.

It’s quite likely that they will let him leave and use the summer transfer window to locate a successor.

Amad

Amad may decide to leave down if he doesn’t receive any guarantees about playing time, whether they come from Erik ten Hag or another management. Since recovering from an injury in December, the attacker has only made eight appearances, failing to start any of them.

Next year is his contract’s expiration, and there doesn’t seem to be much chance of a full renewal or an extra year. He can no longer afford to wait around since he will turn 22 in July.
