Sir Jim Ratcliffe is planning an overhaul at Man Utd this coming summer transfer window that will affect the future of almost every player at the club

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is planning an overhaul at Man Utd this coming summer transfer window. According to latest reports, United are now open to listening to offers for almost all the players in the squad. This is necessary in order to turn the club into challengers for major titles starting from the 2024-25 season.
Surprisingly, Marcus Rashford has not been spared as he has also been included on the list of players who United are willing to sell as soon as the transfer window opens. The England international has been a key player at Old Trafford for since being promoted from the academy but has struggled to remain consistent with his performance over the years.

Rashford had the best season of his life last campaign when he scored 30 goals for the first time in his career. However, he has had a difficult 2023-24 campaign only managing 7 goals in 31 matches. Even though the 26-year-old is up for sale, sources within Man Utd reveal that some want him to stay in order to help him regain his best form.
Rashford was at one points Paris Saint Germain’s main target and it remains to be seen if the Parisians will show interest in him again this summer, especially due to the fact that Kylian Mbappe will be leaving. The Frenchman already informed PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi that he won’t continue his stay at the club past this season and his next destination is likely to be Real Madrid.
Who Are Leaving?
As already started at the start of this article, Man Utd are planning an overhaul which will see majority of the squad leave. The actual amount of business they’re planning to do is unknown but even the experienced players like Raphael Varane, Casemiro and Christian Eriksen won’t be spared.
Casemiro and Eriksen have one and two years left on their current deals respectively, but they’ll be on the market considering the disappointing campaign they’ve had. Reports of Varane leaving this summer started last year so it won’t be a surprise to see him being released as his contract is about to retire.

It seems Anthony Martial’s future will eventually be decided when the transfer window opens as the Man Utd are not planning to continue with him.
Scott McTominay has had a stellar 2023-24 campaign but the axe won’t spare him too. He was to leave alongside Harry Maguire last summer and it seems United could release them if a better deal comes despite the fact that they’ve been great contributors this season.
Loan player Sofyan Amrabat didn’t bring the desired impact and is set to return to Fiorentina. Meanwhile, Jadon Sancho, Mason Greenwood, Donny van de Beek and Hannibal Mejbri, who are out on loan are also likely to leave.
The only players who Manchester United are not willing to offload are Alejandro Garnacho, Rasmus Hojlund and Kobbie Mainoo. However, it could take a very tempting offer before the Red Devils release skipper Bruno Fernandes, Diogo Dalot and Andre Onana.

After the 1-1 draw against Burnley at Old Trafford over the weekend, Manchester United cannot qualify for the UEFA Champions League this season. However, they could still get a spot in the Europa League.
United are though to the FA Cup final where they’ll face Manchester City but questions have already been raised about Erik ten Hag’s future. In short, the Dutch manager’s future at Old Trafford is under huge scrutiny and he could be sacked after the end of this season.
Amidst reported of an overhaul at Old Trafford this summer, source indicate that fans have to be patient with the club as they can only get back on their feet during the 2025-26 season.
