Which players should you build your team around in Career Mode? One of the best game modes in EA Sports FC, previously FIFA series, has always been Career Mode. That feeling when you lead your team to triumph at the end of the season is unmatched.
But just like in real football, you need at least one player to build your team around. Whether you choose to manage your local side in the lower divisions or take over one of the top clubs, high-tier players help revolutionize your squad. In this article, SportsLeo brings you five players who could be the cornerstone of your FC 24 Career Mode.
1. Erling Haaland

If you want to win any match in FC 24 then you need to have one of the best strikers in the game in your team. One such striker is Erling Haaland, who has an overall rating of 91. He is up there with Kylian Mbappe, Kevin De Bruyne and Aitana Bonmati as the highest-rated players in FC 24.
We prefer you choose Erling Haaland because he can be trained to easily fit in your team and reach his potential of 94. The Manchester City has a 3-star skill moves rating but his attributes improve with time as you continue to play with him. The fact that he is 23 means you can rely on him to lead your team for several seasons.
2. Sandro Tonali
Sandro Tonali is undoubtedly one of the best midfielders in the world. The Italian is currently signed to Newcastle United and has an overall rating of 86 in FC 24. Just like Haaland, he has a 3-star skill moves but his potential of 89 and age, 23, should be enough reasons to build your team around him. Give Tonali the chance and watch him boss your midfield for several seasons to come.
Tonali isn’t playing in real football because he was banned for gambling offences and will only be allowed back on the pitch in August.
3. Jamal Musiala
Jamal Musiala is one of the best players to build your team around in FC 24 Career Mode. You will have to spend a lot acquiring the Bayern Munich star but the amount you pay will be worth it.
Musiala comes with an overall rating of 86, which is an amazing rating for someone who broke into Bayern Munich’s starting eleven a few seasons ago and just turned 21 in real football. The German boasts a four-star weak foot and five-star Skill Moves, which are amazing attributes for a young player like him in FC 24.
If well developed, he could reach his full potential of 93 a few seasons after signing him. Musiala plays as an attacking midfielder.
4. Bukayo Saka
Next on players to build your team around in FC 24 Career Mode is Arsenal’s starboy Bukayo Saka. The future is bright for Saka, whether it’s in real life or virtual football.
The talented winger has an overall rating of 86 in the game and a great combination of Technical Ability as well as Shooting that gets even better as his rating increases. Saka has the potential to reach 90 and if you’re an Arsenal fan you just can’t snub the established youngster. His other attributes are 3-star Skill moves and 4-star Weak Foot, Left-footed and his workrates are High/Med.

5. Gianluigi Donnarumma
Goalkeepers are very crucial, not only in real football but also in FC 24 Career Mode. In fact, before spending a huge amount of money signing an outfield player, ensure you have a quality goalkeeper in your team.
Well, Gianluigi Donnarumma is one such keeper you need to invest on. The Italian has long been on the list of goalkeepers to watch but he is now an established name. Donnarumma’s FC 24 Rating is 87 with a Potential Rating of 90 (+4 Growth).
He is currently signed to Paris Saint-Germain and acquiring him might be costly but worth it. Since goalkeepers can play well into their late 30s, you have someone in Donnarumma who could lead your team for more than ten seasons to come
