Abu Dhabi is set to build the world’s first esports island that will offer esports lovers world-class training facilities and also host major events in the gaming world. This island will be the first of its kind and will definitely have little to no people on its streets.
On this island, gaming will be beyond just computers as there will also be adventures inspired by popular games. For example, we could see a parachute jump check-in like the one in PUBG and Call of Duty.

Gamers, listen up, this is one of the best news we’ve heard in recent years. Let me take you through everything we know about the island where you should expect to see a lot of gaming chairs, energy drinks and little to no people on its streets.
Abu Dhabi Esports Island
To start with, Abu Dhabi Esports Island is a USD 280 million project being led by True Gamers, which is a global network of esports clubs. With the hefty investment which is expected to reach USD 1 billion, the island will have a lot of interesting facilities, including a professional training facility, a state-of-the-art venue for tournaments as well as spaces for gaming creation.
The esports island will mark a huge leap in the gaming industry and is a groundbreaking endeavour on a global scale. CEO and co-founder of True Gamers Anton Vasilenko emphasized that thorough market analysis was conducted before the project’s development.

The island will be located in Al Raha Creek in Al Seef next to Hope Island, in United Arab Emirates (UAE), which has been busy making a lot of developments in the sporting world in recent years, from their F1 track to a Dragon Ball Z theme park.
What Can Gamers Expect To Find On Abu Dhabi Esports Island?
According to What’s On, the vision of the esports island is to empower gamers to pursue their dreams and keep the passion ignited for esports in future generations. Since gamers are the big winners on this island, here are four cool things they should expect to find once the its open:
1. Digital Tower
The Digital Tower will be home to a dynamic business hub offering modern workspaces and animation development studios, and is set to be a venue for young programmers and animators to work on their craft.
2. GG Bootcamps
There will be no better place for gaming professionals to train for tournaments like GG Bootcamps. This dedicated space on the island will provide gamers with high-tech computers and advanced analytical tools to help them prepare for upcoming events. On top of that, they’ll also enjoy a balanced nutrition program here, designated sleep and rest areas. There will also be a children’s esports camp established to foster the next generation of gaming enthusiasts.
3. True Gamers Arena
Now this is the heart of it all. The TG Arena will be the venue for international esports tournaments and will be able to adapt to numerous different gaming genres as well as competition formats. Expect a computer club with high-performing PCs, a car simulator area, a console base and a fully equipped streaming area.
