The UCL quarter-final draw is out, with teams still in Europe’s elite club competition now aware of their opponents.
Arsenal have been drawn with German giants Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals while defending champions Manchester City will face Spanish side Real Madrid. Arsenal and City are the only Premier League clubs left in the UEFA Champions League and they will face each other in the semi-finals if they both win their quarter-final ties.

The first ties of this year’s Champions League quarter-finals will be played on 9-10 April and the second legs will follow on 16-17 April.

Atletico Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund (1st leg 9/10 April, 2nd leg 16/17 April)

Arsenal reached the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals on Tuesday night for the first time since 2010 after defeating Porto in a penalty shootout. The Gunners have been in stellar form for the past two seasons and facing Bayern Munich offers them an opportunity to revenge the humiliating defeat they suffered last time they met in the Champions League when the Bavarians won 10-2 on aggregate. Bayern have won the last three meetings between the pair 5-1.
This year marks the third consecutive season that Manchester City are clashing with Real Madrid in the knockout stages of the Champions League. The Los Blancos pulled one of the most astonishing comebacks in European football during the 2021-22 season against City to book their spot in the final, which they did win against Liverpool.

However, Real Madrid couldn’t do the same last season as Pep Guardiola’s side dominated them in the semi-final, winning 5-1 on aggregate. The quarter-final clash between these two is one of the games to watch out for next month as both clubs are at their best this season. While City recently won their first UEFA Champions League title, Real Madrid have won the prestigious trophy a record 14 times.
The 2023-24 UCL quarter-final draw has also brought a rematch of one of the most popular fixtures in the knockout stage of the Champions League in recent years, Paris Saint-Germain vs FC Barcelona. The football world will never forget about Barca’s astonishing comeback against the Parisians after losing 4-0 in the first leg. The tie will see Ousmane Dembele line up against his former employers Barcelona since leaving last summer.
Diego Simeone and Atletico Madrid haven’t had a good run in the UEFA Champions League in recent years but have another chance this campaign.
