The Premier League Golden Boot race for the 2023-24 season is heating up, with Manchester City forward Erling Haaland leading the way.
The Norwegian has 17 goals, just two above Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah who is second on the list. Ollie Watkins, Dominik Solanke and Jarrod Bowen and Bukayo Saka are all aiming for the top spot and we could see drama this weekend as Matchday 27 gets underway.
As we wait to see how things unfold, here are top scorers after Matchday 26:
1. Erling Haaland – 17 Goals

Manchester City’s goal ‘machine’ Erling Haaland is leading the way in this season’s Premier League golden boot race with 17 goals. He failed to score against Bournemouth as City secured a 1-0 win on Matchday 26 but is still firmly on top of the charts. The 23-year-old holds a two-goal lead and is likely to defend the Golden Boot he won at the end of last season.
Haaland has so far scored 27 goals and recorded six assists in 30 games across all competitions this season. He put five past Luton Town on Tuesday, February 27, as Manchester City progressed to the FA Cup quarter-finals.
2. Mohamed Salah – 15 Goals
Mohamed Salah’s hopes of winning the Premier League Golden Boot race is currently at risk as he is injured. The winger missed Liverpool’s last Premier League match against Luton Town due to a reaggravating injury he picked while in action for Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations. He was again sidelined during the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea on Sunday and missed the midweek FA Cup clash against Southampton.
While Liverpool fans are hoping to see him back in action this weekend, there are fears that he might not be in the line-up.
3. Jarrod Bowen – 14 Goals
Jarrod Bowen is having the best season of his life. He is third on the Premier League Golden Boot race with 14 goals.
The England international grabbed a hat-trick on Monday night as West Ham beat Brentford 4-2 to record their first ever victory against the Bees. He scored in the fifth, seventh and 63rd minutes and will be hoping to get on the scoresheet again this Saturday as West Ham travel to Everton.

3. Dominic Solanke – 14 Goals
Another player who has been on form this season, Dominic Solanke has scored 14 goals for Bournemouth. He last scored on February 17 but will be looking forward to adding to his tally this Sunday as the Cherries travel to Burnley.
4. Ollie Watkins – 14 Goals
Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins also has 14 goals in the Premier League this season. Watkins has been so vital for Unai Emery’s side this campaign as he also has 10 goals.
Who Is Leading The Premier League Golden Glove Race?
The race for the Premier League Golden Glove is also getting heated, with several top keepers recording clean sheets.
Three keepers are leading the way after managing to keep eight clean sheets. Below is the list of the top five:
1. Ederson – 8
Manchester City goalkeeper became one of the three keepers with the most clean sheets this campaign after City’s 1-0 win over Bournemouth over the weekend. He also kept a clean sheet in City’s victory against Brentford. Considering City’s current form, don’t be surprised to see him win this race at the end of the season.

1. David Raya – 8
Arsenal are firmly in the race for this season’s Premier League title, and so is David Raya on the Golden Glove race. Raya has kept 8 clean sheets, proving his doubters wrong.
1. Jordan Pickford – 8
Everton have been far from their best for the past two seasons. However, Jordan Pickford has always been solid at the back and has managed eight clean sheets this season alone.
4. Andre Onana – 7
Andre Onana had a turbulent start to life at Manchester United. Despite conceding goals that has led to criticism, he has saved many others and has so far kept seven clean sheets. Onana didn’t conceded against Wolves, Burnley, Fulham, Luton Town, Everton, Liverpool and West Ham.
4. Alisson Becker – 7
Liverpool are on top of the Premier League table at the moment and one man who has played a big role in this is Alisson Becker. The Brazilian has kept seven clean sheets but might miss out in winning the Golden Glove because of a hamstring injury that has kept him on the sidelines.
