He began his career in the youth set-up of Atletico Mineiro in Brazil and at the age of sixteen, his talent was recognized and he signed his first professional; contract with Atletico Mineiro.

The winger began his skills at a young age in the youth academy of Atletico Mineiro, a prominent Brazilian club known for developing talents, his impressive performance impressed scouts and coaches, leading to his first professional contract.

At the age of sixteen, the young player’s talent was recognized with a professional contract with Atletico Mineiro, a significant milestone for the young player that portrayed the club’s belief in his potential.

However, we do not know about his playing time and involvement with the Atletico Mineiro senior team during this period. He might have played for the reserve team or made sporadic appearances with the first team.

Due to limited playtime, the winger was sent on loan to Girona FC in the Spanish La Liga, which proved to be a turning point in his career. He quickly adapted to Spanish football and established himself as a vital player for the team.

When we mention his play style, his dribbling skills, pace and creativity on the left wing are just perfect and are valuable for creating scoring opportunities and disrupting the opponent’s defence.

At 19 years old, his career is still very young and his priority is likely on training, improving his game and adapting to the demands of professional football.

Manchester City signing Savio

According to some reliable sources, Manchester City secured the necessary documents to sign Savio from Troyes, a club that owns his rights for this season. He was not in Troyes’s main team but they signed him in 2022 and immediately loaned him to Giron in the Spanish first division.

His impressive performance and creativity at Girona have attracted attention from major clubs and Manchester City might be looking to add depth and competition on the left wing. With his young age, Man City might see him as a player who can develop under the coach and potentially become a key contributor in the future.

Concerns on Savio’s time at Man City

Though there is something to celebrate about, there are also concerns that accrue from Man City signing the winger. Competition for starting positions is fierce at Manchester City and it is not clear how much time he will receive.

The Premier League is quite demanding and he will have to adjust his style and adapt to the increased intensity as compared to La Liga. It is also not clear if he will be a mainstay at City or will be seen as a future potential for the club for a future loan or sale.
