Putting that into consideration, we take a look at the fastest players in 2024 and the top speeds they have recorded in this article. Don’t be surprised with the absence of names such as Kylian Mbappe, Adama Traore and Ousmane Dembele because their top speed didn’t match the ones on the list, as per Khel Now.

Well, it may be a surprise to many that van de Den is the fastest player in the world. He recorded the top speed of 37.38 km/h during a Premier League match for Spurs this season.

Despite the fact that age is quickly catching up the with him, Walker still stuns many with his amazing speed on the pitch. The England international has been pivotal in Manchester City’s success in recent years and recorded top speed of 37.31 km/h last season.
3. Chiedozie Ogbene
Luton Town winger caught the attention of many on 16 September 2023 when he recorded a top speed of 36.93 km/h in a Premier League match against Fulham. He is one of the fastest players in 2024. The 26-year-old was born in Lagos, Nigeria, but represents the Republic of Ireland national team at international level.
4. Pedro Neto
Pedro Neto has been impressing since joining Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2019 from Lazio. The Portugal international has been on the radar of several top clubs even though he is yet to secure a transfer. Neto recorded top speed of 36.86 km/h this season when Wolves travelled to Luton to play a Premier League match.

The Hungarian international played for RB Leipzig prior to his big move to Liverpool.

Next on the list of the fastest players in 2024 is Dara O’Shea. The Irish defender stunned many with his top speed of 36.73 km/h during Burnley’s match against Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
7. Anthony Gordon
Anthony Gordon is undoubtedly one of the best young players in the Premier League right now. The Newcastle United man has been impressing football fans with his performance in matches since joining from Everton. His top speed is 36.68 km/h recorded in Newcastle United’s match against Burnley.
8. Amadou Onana
Amadou Onana has been one of the key players in Everton’s squad this season. He ran at a top speed of 36.65 km/h during the match against Liverpool this season. Onana was born in Senegal but opted to play for the Belgium national team at international level.

According to Opta, Antonio Rudiger was the fastest footballer in the English Premier League in 2022. Even though it’s been two years down the line, only a few footballers have gone past the top speed of 36.7 km/h which he recorded at Chelsea.
