Lazar Samardzic is a Serbian professional footballer who plays for Serie A club Udinese and Barcelona is considering him to be part of their team. It is not the first attempt since in 2020, they had an interest in him when he was playing for Hertha Berlin.
However, Samardzic chose to join RB Leipzig instead. So, the club is considering him as a potential summer transfer though he previously rejected their advances when he was younger, but playing in Spain might hold more appeal now.
According to some sources, Barcelona is not the only club interested in acquiring the midfielder other bigger teams are eyeing him, including Napoli and Inter Milan. He currently plays for Serie A club Udinese and so far there is no official confirmation of any transfer negotiations between Barcelona and the club.
Based on his performance, he is doing well at Udinese which could drive his price up. He plays as a midfielder but can also play as a left winger and he has an eye for goal. Though he is relatively young in his career, he is rated as one with a bright future.
