Sebastien Haller is a professional footballer who plays as a striker for Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund and the Ivory Coast national team, scoring a crucial goal that led his team to victory at the 2024 AFCON.
He was born and raised in Ris-Orangis, France where he started playing for local clubs FC Olympique de Vigneux and CS Bretigny. Haller then joined the prestigious AJ Auxerre academy and progressed through the ranks, making his senior debut for the club.
He made a move to Germany and joined club Eintracht Frankfurt where he spent two seasons, being part of the team that won the DFB-Pokal. His impressive performance led to a move to Premier League club West Ham United though his time in England was not very successful as he struggled to adapt to the fast-paced nature of the league.

Haller represented France at various youth levels but switched his allegiance to the Ivory Coast. He played a key role in the team’s victory at the Africa Cup of Nations in 2024 after scoring a crucial goal that led to their win.

Sebbastien Romain Teddy Haller was born on June 22 1994 in Ris-Orangis, France to a French father and an Ivorian mother. His career began in his hometown where he played for local clubs before he was enrolled at the AJ Auxerre academy.

He progressed through the ranks and has since then played for several clubs in Germany, England and Dutch. Internationally, he has represented the Ivory Coast national team on several occasions, the latest being at the 2024 AFCON where he scored a crucial goal that led to the team’s victory.
The 29-year-old is married and has two children, a daughter and a son. The player has a sense of fashion and has shown interest in his stylish appearances.
Sebastien Haller Ailment and Treatment
In 2022, Haller signed with Borussia Dortmund but unfortunately, his start-up with the club was delayed due to a cancer diagnosis. He discovered a lump on his testicle, which required immediate medical attention.
After several tests, he received the diagnosis of testicular cancer, which prompted surgery to remove the affected testicle, followed by four rounds of chemotherapy. Fortunately, his treatment was successful and he was declared cancer-free in January 2023.

The striker has openly shared his experience with testicular cancer and has raised awareness, encouraging men to do regular checkups. This move saw him collaborate with several organizations that promote awareness and support services for men facing testicular cancer.
