Who are the highest-paid NBA players 2023-24 season? With the salary cap in the NBA rising to over $136 million, teams are spending now more than ever to attract top players. The league has several iconic player, from LeBron James to Steph Curry and Joel Embiid, who are only being paid well for their ability on the court but also because they are among the most prominent figures in basketball right now.

These players will also have pocketed millions by the end of this season because of the various endorsement deals they have. In this article, we take a look at their salaries this season alone. According to USA Today, 18 players will earn at least $40 million.

1. Stephen Curry – $51,915,615

The NBA does not have a $60 million per season player just yet. Steph Curry happens to be the biggest earner this season and his salary is reportedly $51,915,615. The Golden State Warriors star is in the second year of his four-year, $215.3 million contract. Curry has held the top spot for two straight seasons and could remain on top for the next two seasons.

2. Kevin Durant – $47,649,433 

Next on the list of the highest-paid NBA players 2023-24 is the Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant. One of the top talents in the league right now, Durant deserves the huge pay he receives. He is in the second year of his $194.2 million contract.

Durant returned to form very fast after one of the most brutal tissue injuries ever seen in all sports. While he hasn’t been fully fit since the injury, he has still been managing to do wonders on the court impressing fans.

3. Joel Embiid – $47,607,350

The Philadelphia 76ers will be paying Joel Embiid a whopping $47,607,350 making him one of the highest-paid NBA players 2023-24 season. Embiid has led the NBA by scoring in each of the past two seasons and is expected to continue with his red-hot form for the next few years. He is currently on his first year of a four-year $213.2 million contract.

The only surprise here is why LeBron James isn’t on top of the list of the highest-paid NBA players 2023-24 season. Nevertheless, he has been among the biggest earners in the league for several years and deserves it due to his performance. According to Forbes, LeBron is one of the few athletes who are billionaires, and he achieved his billionaire status because of his NBA career which has brought him several mega endorsement deals.

LeBron is in the first year of a two-year $99 million contract. According to Sportico, LeBron’s career earnings from salaries and endorsements will hit an estimated $1.4 billion.

5. Nikola Jokic – $47,607,350

Nikola Jokic is pretty clearly as one of the best NBA players hence it shouldn’t be a surprise that he is one of the big earners. The Denver Nuggets star is in the very first year of his $276.1 million contract with the franchise and is expected to earn a whopping $47,607,350 by the end of this season.

5. Bradley Beal – $46,741,590

Bradley Beal is one of the highest-paid players 2023-24 pocketing $46,741,590 from his deal with the Phoenix Suns. He is in the second year of his contract with the franchise. Many would argue that the amount Bradley earns doesn’t make sense because he is not even among the top 50 players in the league.

7. Giannis Antetokounmpo – $45,640,084

Giannis Antetokounmpo is currently in the third year of a $228.2 million and added a $177 extension that will start in 2025-26. The 29-year-old will earn $45,640,084 for the 2023-24 season.

8. Paul George – $45,640,084

Nicknamed PG-13, Paul George is one of top players in the NBA. However, he has struggled with injuries throughout his career. He only managed to play 189 of a possible 318 regular season games last season, which means he meant that he missed more than 40 per cent of his team’s games. He is actually injured at the time of this writing but it’s just left knee and will be back soon.

Paul George will be getting a cash annual salary of $45,640,084 in the 2023-2024 season. He is in the third year of a four-year contract.
