1. Trish Stratus

Taking the number one spot on the list of the greatest female wrestlers in history is Trish Stratus. Well, there is no surprise here considering the fact that Stratus simply couldn’t be stopped at the peak of her career and neither did she disappoint when she returned from retirement in 2018.

The Canadian wasn’t born a wrestler but she has achieved success in the wrestling world because of hard work and determination.

2. Lita 

A risk taker, Lita truly deserves a spot on the list of the greatest female wrestlers of all time. She is a four time champion and she won her first two women’s championship in Raw. Just like Stratus, Lita came out of retirement and returned to professional wrestling to win more titles.

In 2023, the American who is best known for her tenure with WWE, won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship with Becky Lynch and became the first female Hall of Famer to win a championship after her induction.

3. Charlotte Flair 

Charlotte Flair is one of the greatest wrestlers we have ever seen. No surprises here. The Queen is a 14-time WWE Women’s Champion, a record and she could add more titles considering she is still active in the ring. She is currently signed to Vince McMahon’s promotion and performs on the SmackDown brand.

Charlotte is a heel and has achieved success because of the pressure to be like her father, Ric Flair, who is a two-time WWE Hall of Famer. Over the years, she has fought in very high stake matches and often often comes out as the winner.

4. Becky Lynch

Having headlined multiple WrestleMania events there’s no doubting Becky Lynch’s abilities in the ring. She is one of the best and it’s that simple. Lynch held both the SmackDown and Raw Women’s Championships simultaneously, making her one of few wrestlers to do so.

Lynch is a six time WWE Women Champion and her rivalry with Charlotte Flair has played a significant role in changing women’s wrestling.

5. Bayley 

Don’t let her baby face fool you, Bayley is a menace in the ring. The 34-year-old is a two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion and her second reign with the strap lasted a record 380 days. Quite impressive. She has also held the WWE Raw Women’s Championship, and the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, making her the first women’s Triple Crown Champion in history.

6. Sasha Banks

Currently signed to New Japan Pro-Wrestling, Sasha Banks is best known for her time with WWE. She is in the history books as one of the greatest female wrestlers of all time, with her achievements including winning the NXT Women’s Championship, the SmackDown Women’s Championship and the inaugural WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship with Bayley.

Banks left WWE in 2022 due to creative issues and currently uses the ring name Mercedes Mone at New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

7. Asuka 

Asuka is one of the few wrestlers who were famous before joining WWE. Prior to joining Vince McMahon’s promotion, she had already earned plenty of accolades in her native Japan. She previously used the ring name Kana.

After joining WWE’s developmental brand NXT, Asuka forged a crazy undefeated streak that continued right on through to her main roster career. Her partnership with Kairi Sane as The Kabuki Warriors led to her capturing the Women’s Tag Team title belts.
