Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa is a Cameroonian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Serie A club Napoli and the Cameroon national team, where he is the team’s captain.
The player’s first steps onto the pitch were on the dusty grounds of his hometown through hours of playing with friends, and this attracted local scouts leading him to the renowned Coton Sport de Garoua academy in Northern Cameroon.
The club’s academy was the midfielder’s launchpad for his career as it trained him on discipline, laying the foundation for his future success. While still playing at the academy, he attracted the French giants Olympique de Marseille and got an opportunity to play with the club, where he made his professional debut, marking his early years at the club with brilliance.
