Annika Sorenstam has been a pro golfer for several years now. The 53-year-old began her journey in golf as a young girl and was part of the Swedish national team from 1987 to 1992. She played golf at the University of Arizona where she won the world amateur championship.
During the 1990 season, Sorenstam won three titles on the Swedish Golf Tour. In 1992, she officially turned pro, starting her career on the Ladies European Your. Due to impressive performance, she was awarded the LET Rookie of the Year.
