Career
Born in Barcelona, Hector Bellerin started his football journey at FC Barcelona’s famed academy La Masia. He went through Barca’s youth set-up until 2011 when he moved to Arsenal. He signed his first professional contract with the Gunners in 2012.
Bellerin was part of Arsenal’s youth team that finished fourth place on the NextGen Series of 2012-13. The Spanish right-back was first included to the senior team in September 2012, but remained an unused substitute in the League Cup match against Coventry City.
On 25 September 2013, Bellerin made his debut for the Gunners in a Football League Cup match. Two months later, he was loaned to Watford until January. The loan deal was extended until the end of the season but he was recalled by Arsenal in February.
