Azzedine Ounahi is a professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for club Marseille and the Morocco national team and is currently the most sought-after young footballer in the world.
Ounahi became famous when he played at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. He was unknown to most people but his energy and creativity in midfield attracted attention.
He was a key player in Morocco’s run to the semifinals and helped to put the country on the map.

Career Journey
Ounahi is 23 years old and was born in Casablanca, Morocco and began his football career at Raja, Casablanca.

He then moved to the Academie Mohammed VI, a prestigious football academy in Morocco and two years later, he joined RC Strasbourg, a French Ligue1 club.
Soon after joining Strasbourg, the player was loaned out to US Avranches, a third-tier French club where he established himself as one of the best players in the League in his first season.
Two years later, he joined Angers SCO, a Ligue 1 club where he made his debut and quickly became a regular starter for the club.
In the following season, Ounahi had a breakout season at the club, scoring 10 goals and providing 10 assists in all competitions, and was named to the Ligue 1 Team of the Season.
Ounahi has had a successful international career with Morocco and was part of the Morocco squad that reached the knockout stages of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
His performance with Angers and at the World Cup attracted the attention of several top clubs and was recently signed by Marseille.
Since joining Marseille in June 2023, he has scored 2 goals and provided 3 assists in his first 10 games for the club.
