Born in L’Hospitalet, Adama Traore began his football journey playing at local club L’Hospitalet. He then moved to Barcelona’s famous academy La Masia at the age of eight in 2004.
In 2013, Traore was promoted to the B-team and made his debut on 6 October in a 1-0 defeat to Ponferradina in the Segunda Division. He later received promotion to Barca’s senior team and played his first La Liga match in November 2013 as a substitute for Neymar Jr.
