Career
Quinton Jackson had his first experience with combat sports as a wrestler while at Raleigh-Egypt High School. During his time in high school, he also learnt striking techniques from fellow Bellator light heavyweight Jacob Noe.
Jackson intended to be a professional wrestler but his dreams were shattered while at Lassen Community College when he fought with a teammate leading to his expulsion. He then decided to try his hand in MMA and began by training in Las Vegas with BAMMA fighter Lewis Rumble.
Jackson began his MMA career by fighting at smaller MMA promotions amassing a record of ten wins and one loss. In 2001, he signed with Pride Fighting Championships and made his debut at Pride 15 against Kazushi Sakuraba. He lost the fight but impressed promoters and fans with his performance.
The American was invited at Pride 17 where he scored victory over Yuki Ishikawa. He would then record victories over the likes of Masaaki Satake, Kevin Randleman, Igor Vovchanchyn and Mikhail Illoukhine.

In 2003, Jackson recorded victory over one of MMA’s most celebrated fighters, Wanderlei Silva. He also defeated Chuck Liddell that same year.
In 2007, Quinton Jackson signed with MMA’s biggest promotion UFC. He made his debut at UFC 67, knocking out Marvin Eastman. On 26 May 2007, Rampage defeated Liddell once again to claim the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship.
It wasn’t until 2013 when Jackson ditched the UFC for Bellator MMA. He then had a spell at UFC before competing in Fight Circus earlier this year.
