Following the latest round of Premier League action we’ve picked out stars who impressed on Game Week Ten.

Ethan Pinnock (Brentford)

A significant presence in both boxes helped Brentford defeat Chelsea on the road for the third time in a row. Since their Premier League promotion, the Bees have defeated their West London neighbors, winning three more points at Stamford Bridge.

Pinnock played a key role in Brentford’s defensive efforts at the other end, winning 8/11 duels and producing a tremendous eight clearances. Pinnock headed home the first goal after powerfully finishing Bryan Mbeumo’s cross.

The result also upheld Brentford’s prior dominance in this encounter; the Bees have triumphed in all three of their away meetings against Chelsea since Chelsea’s promotion to the Premier League.

Callum Wilson (Newcastle)

Newcastle’s match against Wolves this weekend saw Callum Wilson given an opportunity from the start, and the Magpies replied with two goals in their 2-2 draw at Molineux.

After Alexander Isak was forced to return to the squad, Wilson scored seven league goals in only four Premier League starts thanks to his brace. After scoring the first goal with a reactive play, the 31-year-old (very fortuitously) scored the second goal by preserving his record from the penalty spot. Wilson’s season average for Premier League goals scored is one every sixty minutes.

Erling Haaland (Manchester City)

The star player for Manchester City, who currently leads the race for the Premier League’s Golden Boot despite reports he’s still finding his form this season, has two goals and an assist.

Even while some have claimed that the player is not playing up to his typical level, another game-winning effort in the Manchester Derby is not awful. Despite Haaland having only appeared in three league Manchester derbies, only three players have achieved more goals and assists (8) in this rivalry throughout the Premier League era.

Eddie Nketiah (Arsenal)

After playing brilliantly in midweek, Gabriel Jesus’ hamstring injury would have caused concern at Arsenal, but Eddie Nketiah made sure the Brazilian’s absence against Sheffield United was more than made up for.

The 24-year-old Nketiah scored his first Premier League hat-trick as Arsenal crushed Sheffield United at the Emirates, the striker using a lovely touch to complete the opening goal. The striker doubled the advantage with an incisive second goal before smashing in his hat-trick from long range to put the Gunners on a 5-0 victory in north London.

To win the match ball, Nketiah scored his hat-trick goal from a distance. He has now equaled his career-best return with five goals after 10 Premier League appearances this season.

Joao Palhinha (Fulham)

Fulham’s incredible comeback to salvage a draw against Brighton was capped off by a sensational shot from midfielder Joao Palhinha. The Portugal international was on the verge of joining Bayern Munich over the summer, but the deal fell through, keeping Fulham’s greatest midfield anchor in the Premier League.

Palhinha led the league in tackles made in a Premier League match this season with 10 during the draw against Brighton. He also scored an incredible equalizer for Marco Silva’s team.

Dominik Szoboszlai (Liverpool)

Szoboszlai was in the center of another brilliant Liverpool effort, setting up Darwin Nunez’s close-range strike to score the team’s second goal against Nottingham Forest. With a long, searching pass over the top that Forest ‘keeper Matt Turner mishandled, the Hungarian added a second assist in the 3-0 victory, setting up Mohamed Salah for an easy third goal.

The 23-year-old was the player who generated the most opportunities (6) and led his Liverpool colleagues in ball recoveries (13).

Jarrad Branthwaite (Everton)

The center defender had a huge impact as Sean Dyche’s team defeated West Ham at the London Stadium, demonstrating Branthwaite’s continued rise in stature and influence at Everton.

The England under-21 international won five duels, had the most clearances (10), and had possession back seven times. He also assisted Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the game’s winning goal against the Hammers. It wouldn’t be shocking to see Premier League competitors show interest as January draws near for this calm and composed left-sided center defender.
