In his playing years with the Melbourne Tigers, he helped them win two championships and was also named NBL’s most-improved Player.

After retiring from basketball, Warrick worked for the Tigers in their community and school programs. He is currently a full-time basketball coach and mentor.

The 21-year-old grew up in  Yarraville, Victoria where he began playing basketball at a young age. He attended St. Kevin’s College in Melbourne before emerging as one of the top basketball prospects with the NBA Global Academy.

He was enrolled at the NBA Global Academy, a training center at the Australian Institute of Sports where he played for the program’s state league team.

He also represented Australia at the FIBA Under-17 World Championship in 2019. The following year, he signed with the Adelaide 36ers of the NBA,  becoming the first Australian to play in the NBA without having played in any other professional league.

In 2021, the player was selected by the Oklahoma City Thunder as the sixth overall pick in the NBA draft where he currently plays.
