Chuck Liddell fell in love with combat sports at a very young age. While growing up in Santa Barbara, Chuck often hung around the Del Playa Drive and found himself fighting with drunk college students.
Liddell attended California Polytechnic State University where he became a Division I wrestler. He holds an amateur kickboxing record of 20 wins and 2 losses, with 16 of those wins earned by way of knockout.
In 1998, Chuck Liddell made his UFC debut at UFC 17, defeating Noe Hernandez. In his next fight, he secured victory over Brazilian fighter Jose “Pele” Landi-Johns as an underdog.
Liddell would then go on to establish himself as a top contender in UFC by securing victory over fellow fighters such as Kevin Randleman, Jeff Monson, Amar Suloev and Renato Sobral.

In 2004, Liddell won the the Light-Heavyweight title after defeating Tito Ortiz. The two fighters had a long rivalry since then until their retirement from the sport.
Liddell knocked Randy Couture out with a right hand to claim the UFC Heavyweight Championship for the first time in his career. He then successfully defended his title against Jeremy Horn and Couture in 2006.
The Iceman was entered into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2009, and retired from the sport in 2010. He has since made appearances in several movies, including Kick-Ass 2, Fight Life and War Pigs.
