Bayern Munich breezed past Darmstadt 8-0 to go top of Bundesliga table with 23 points after nine league matches. Harry Kane scored a hat-trick while Leroy Sane bragged a brace in the match that was played at Allianz Arena. This was the first match in Bundesliga history to see three red cards in the first half. Bayern’s Joshua Kimmich was the first to be sent off before the match referee showed two red cards to Darmstadt players Klaus Gjasula and Matej Maglica.
Thomas Tuchel was satisfied by the performance from his players in the dominant home win against Darmstadt. Speaking after the win, Tuchel said Bayern Munich will keep going.

“Crazy first half against a very good opponent. We were down to 10 men very early on. We had problems in transition, then all of a sudden we were 10v10, then more players on the pitch, we had difficulties adapting to that. The half time break did us good to regroup and find responses. We had many chances and scored a lot of goals in the second half. Overall we deserved the win and we’ll keep going.” Thomas Tuchel said after his side cruised past Darmstadt at Allianz Arena, as per Bavarian Football Works.
How Bayern Munich Beat Darmstadt
Things got off to a dramatic start at Allianz Arena when Joshua Kimmich was sent off after bringing down Marvin Mehlem at the edge of the area. The talented midfielder denied the visitors a clear goalscoring opportunity, hence the straight red card.
Despite having a man advantage, Darmstadt were finding it difficult to break Bayern’s defense. In fact, it was Bayern who came close to opening the scoring but was denied by goalkeeper Schuhen, who made a brilliant save.
It didn’t take long before the player numbers were level after Klaus Gjasula’s yellow card was upgraded to a red card. The Bavarians were initially awarded a penalty but the referee changed his mind after seeing the incident took place outside the penalty area.
Darmstadt were in control of the match even after one of their players was sent off. However, they soon became architects of their own destruction when Matej Maglica fouled Harry Kane in nearly the same spot as the previous red card.

With the visitors down to ten men, it was now Bayern Munich who had the chance to take the three points. Harry Kane broke the deadlock six minutes after the restart to start his team’s amazing goalscoring in the second half. Leroy Sane tapped home Laimer’s cross five minutes later before Jamal Musiala increased his team’s advantage to 3-0.
Sane scored Bayern’s fourth in the 64th minute before Harry Kane scored from just beyond the halfway line to make it 5-0. Substitute Thomas Muller scored sixth before Jamal Musiala and Harry Kane found the back of the net once again.
The Bayern Munich Vs Darmstadt game saw legendary goalkeeper return to action after being out for several months. The Bavarians, who sit on top of the table, will face Borussia Dortmund next weekend.
