Real Madrid secured a 2-1 away win over rivals FC Barcelona on Saturday in the first El Clasico of the season. The man of the moment Jude Bellingham scored both of Real Madrid’s goals to end Barcelona’s unbeaten start to the 2-23-24 season.
Former Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan, who is no stranger to big names, put Barcelona ahead in the sixth minute. Bellingham smashed a sensational leveller in the 68th minute when everyone thought the game was going Barca’s way. The England international who is currently at the best form of his life then netted the winner in injury time. He now has 14 goals in 16 matches for club and country.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti hailed Bellingham as “stupendous” after the match while saying the 20-year-old kept surprising him with his maturity.
“(Bellingham) looks like a veteran out there because of his attitude. His first goal changed the dynamic completely of what was a difficult game for us. I can’t deny that we are all surprised with his vein of form, especially with his level and his effectiveness. He is everywhere on the field. Today he was stupendous and shocked everyone with his wonderful goal from the edge of the area.” Carlo Ancelotti praised Jude Bellingham after his side’s win over Barcelona.

How Real Madrid Beat Barcelona in El Clasico
The Barcelona Vs Real Madrid fixture was always going to be won by those with confidence and expertise. Xavi Hernandez’s side took the lead inside eight minutes, thank to Ilkay Gundogan. The German international, who scored inside 15 seconds of the FA Cup final between Manchester City and Manchester United, slotted home the opener at Estadio Olimpico after Aurelien Tchouameni’s attempt to intercept possession released him.
Real Madrid desperately needed to sharpen up around their box, especially after Toni Kroos had his pocked picked by Gavi, allowing youngster Fermin Lopez to steal the ball. Lopez, who is 20-years-old, rattled his effort against the crossbar.
The Los Blancos failed to register a single shot on target before the halftime break and this left Carlo Ancelotti a bit worried. Real Madrid showed no signs of improvement immediately after the break and was almost caught again but Inigo Martinez’s shot hit the crossbar. Ronald Araujo pounced on the rebound but Kepa Arrizabalaga did well to stop the Uruguayan’s effort.
Real Madrid eventually got into the game, with Marc-Andre ter Stegen being forced to make a superb save to deny Tchouameni. However, there was nothing the German keeper could do moments later as Bellingham scored the equalizer for Real Madrid.

With momentum on their side, Real Madrid looked confidence to snatch a memorable victory at Barcelona. The game eventually went their way in added time when Luka Modric touched Dani Carvajal’s pass into the path of Bellingham. The youngster made no mistake as he slotted the ball home to give Real Madrid the win.
