When Brighton signed Ansu Fati, one of Spanish football’s top prospects, it must have seemed like a pinch-me moment for the Seagulls’ supporters. Fati, 20, has joined Brighton on a temporary loan from Barcelona with no option to purchase as he attempts to restart a career that has sputtered just a little bit since his record-breaking debut at the Camp Nou.

Late in the transfer window, Erik ten Hag strengthened Manchester United’s midfield by signing Sofyan Amrabat on loan from Fiorentina.
The Red Devils paid £8.5 million for the 27-year-old to join on a season-long loan, with a club option to make the transfer permanent for an extra £21.4 million.
Amrabat joins United following a shaky start to the season that saw summer acquisition Mason Mount develop a hamstring injury and Casemiro appear out of sorts in midfield.
If the Moroccan has recovered following an inexplicable absence from September’s international matches, he might make his debut against Brighton this weekend. The Moroccan sparkled when his country advanced to the World Cup semi-finals last year.
