Born in Meaux, Lucas Digne began his football journey playing for the youth teams of Mareuil-sur-Ourcq and Crepy-en-Valois. He then moved to Lille in 2005, where he finished his development.

Digne signed his first professional contract in July 2010 and was promoted to the senior team ahead of the 2011-12 season. The youngster was assigned the number three shirt and made his senior debut on 26 October 2011, in a 6-1 win over Sedan.
