Career
Alexandre Pato began his football journey playing at Sport Club Internacional’s youth teams. He showed signs of becoming a star at a very young age and was handed his senior debut in 2006 at the age of 16. The youngster would go on to score 12 goals in 27 matches and help his team win the 2006 FIFA Club World Cup.
Due to Pato’s impressive performance, Italian giants AC Milan signed him from Internacional in the summer of 2007 for a fee believed to be 24 million euros. However, he had to wait until January 2008 to play his first official match for AC Milan due to regulations regarding non-EU minors.
On 13 January 2008, Alexandre Pato played his first Serie A match, scoring a header as AC Milan thrashed Napoli 5-2. The Brazilian talent soon established himself as a key player for AC Milan, helping them win the Serie A and Supercoppa Italiana in 2011.

However, Pato began struggling with injuries, which led to his form dipping. In 2013, he returned to Brazil and joined Corinthians. He spent time on loan at Sao Paulo and Chelsea before the Brazilian side released him permanently to Villareal in 2016.
Pato spent just a season with the Spanish side before joining Chinese club Tianjin Tianhai. In 2019, he joined Sao Paulo, where he spent a season and then moved to the United States signing with MLS club Orlando City. He is currently back at Sao Paulo.
