Zach Randolph is a former American basketball player who played for the NBA till his retirement in 2020 and his net worth in 2023 is estimated to be $65 million.

Randolph played basketball in Marion High School where he became a two-time All-State selection leading his team to the state championship in his senior year.

The player was drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers with the 19th overall pick in the 2001 NBA draft and spent his first seven seasons with the team before being traded to the New York Knicks.

He was then traded to the Memphis Grizzlies for the next eight seasons where he was named to the All-NBA Third Team for two consecutive seasons and was named to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team in the next season.

Personal Life

Zach was born in Marion, Indiana, USA on July 16 1981 to his parents Michael and Felicia Randolph, and he has two elder brothers Michael Jr. and Marcus. He is a cousin to former NBA player Antonio McDyees.

His good passing and solid defensive skills saw him in the NBA draft for twenty years and in addition, he is very active in the society initiatives.

He founded the the Zach Randolph Foundation which provides scholarships to needy students in his community.

He also worked with the NBA’s Basketball without Borders program in promoting basketball in Africa. Randolph is a Christian believer and is married to Faune Drake and they have five children together.

Randolph has a memorable past as he was on several occasions arrested for being drunk and assaulting his teammate as he played for the Trail Blazers.

Career

Zach started playing basketball at Marion High School leading his team to the state championship. After high school, he joined Kentucky University and was drafted into the NBA by the Portland Trail Blazers where he remained in the power forward position.

At Trail Blazers, he recorded the highest single-game rebound totals of any player on either team twice and won the NBA Most Improved Player award which saw him signing a new six-year contract worth $84 million.

He was then traded to the New York Knicks before being traded to Los Angeles Clippers in the next season. At the Clippers, he was suspended twice for punching his teammate.

He then joined Memphis Grizzlies and was selected for his first NBA All-Star game helping the team improve.

The player joined Sacramento Kings on a two-year contract and after the contract ended, he retired from playing professional basketball and is currently working as an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Lakers.
