Rahul Dravid fell in love with cricket from a very young age and began playing professionally at the age of 12. He represented the Karnataka state team in U-15, U-17 and U-19 age groups. His performance earned him a place in state’s Ranji Trophy team.
In his first season, Dravid managed 380 runs at an average of 63.3. This earned him a spot in South Zone’s squad to compete in Duleep Trophy.
